About the role:

Join Thiess at our prestigious Curragh North Mine and play a crucial role in maintaining a world-class mining operation. As a High Voltage Electrician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of critical electrical systems.

In this position you will:

Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.
Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs and Periodical Statutory Electrical Testing/ Inspections to a high regard
Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems.
Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained.
Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilization

About You:

To be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:

A Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate
Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007
Proven experience in high voltage equipment maintenance
Post-trade experience maintaining diesel electric haul trucks (Liebherr, Komatsu, Hitachi, Cat preferred)
Experience conducting statutory testing on electrical infrastructure
Experience with Electric Rope Shovels or Draglines
A Statement of Attainment for HV Switching
Registered Cabler qualifications (highly regarded)
