Description Description The Portfolio & Delivery Manager is responsible for the entire lifecycle of a digital product including development, launch, ongoing maintenance and optimisation in alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation. The Portfolio & Delivery Manager, in agreement with the APAC TOM, will ensure the future application development pipeline is defined, create and manage a detailed, product specific deliverable roadmap, whilst working with cross functional teams, including Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Actuarial, Compliance, Data, and IT to ensure the product meets the needs of both end user and business goals. The role will require significant interaction with Group, particularly the Change teams, to leverage existing technology, teams and resources to ensure enterprise-wide developments are incorporated into the overall APAC vision. This includes liaison with project specific teams to meet and achieve agreed outcomes for the region. The role ensures all products builds encompass an end-to-end vision, adheres to standard build specifications for a consistent and structured approach to all products and leverages group wide technology where possible. The role will require strong third-party relationship management to ensure all vendors meet expected performance standards including, timeliness, quality, budget, and BAU expectations. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Generate and maintain regional product portfolio plan by partnering with key stakeholders to build detailed product roadmap. Foster close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure product vision and strategy is translated into key deliverables. Plan, prioritise, and manage the product features and requirements from conceptual stages throughout the entire product lifecycle including ongoing maintenance, to optimise revenue and meet operational, financial, and corporate objectives in the designated business segment. Establish key working groups and collaboration across teams via implementation of Speed to Market delivery systems, agile execution, for on time and on budget product delivery. Work with key stakeholders to develop action plans and address any identified gaps. Partner with business and technical teams, both internal and external, to plan and prioritise system releases and specific release content. Assist with preparation of business cases (financial / ROI) analysis to quantify potential return for a new system / application. Create RFPs as required. Work with business key stakeholder to ensure requirements are translated into system specifications. Collaborate with technical teams, developers, engineers, QAs to ensure solutions are in alignment with specifications. Work with all technical teams to ensure testing requirements are adequate and quality assurance standards are met, including sign off from all impacted stakeholders prior to any release. Ensure proactive communication on issues, challenges or risks whilst developing mitigation solutions. Ensure all interdependencies are identified and managed with all teams where appropriate. Analyse and map current state and future state business processes where required. Maintain working knowledge of new technology and standards and practices including the exploration and adoption of automation or AI where appropriate and in line with business policy. Ensure end user training, roll out and handover materials are developed to ensure a smooth and efficient product launch. Ensure business standards are maintained, document and developed within guidelines, processes and procures as appropriate. Coordination with appropriate regional APAC and Group teams to ensure local practices are aligned where possible to group policy, debated and agreed where they will differ. This will include engagement with Group Operations, Change, Data, Delegated Authority and IT teams as a representative for the APAC business, to leverage technology solutions, shared services and innovation will be essential for success Qualifications Skills & Qualifications Ability to evaluate, analyse and interpret the voice of the customer through concise and fluent requirements. Understanding of usability and user experience best practice. Understanding of Agile product lifecycle development. Ability to be strategic and tactical in all daily interactions. Good understanding of data concepts, star schemas, relational and non-relational databases, and related technologies and how they underpin customer needs. Good working knowledge of data visualisation and presentation skills to express data meaning to end users. Demonstratable knowledge of digital distribution channels and platforms of both B2B and digital distribution. Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions for building best in class digital products while considering wider business plans. Excellent working knowledge of insurance products and interdependencies of each business segment. Tertiary degree in IT, computer science, or business. Senior Business Analyst, Project Management or Product Manager experience. Experience with working with third party vendors preferred. Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Scrum, Kanban etc. Tech based qualifications advantageous, CBAP, SQL, Lean Six Sigma etc.
