As a Landscape Gardener at A Touch of Grass, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality horticultural and landscaping services that bring landscape designs to life. This position requires strong practical skills, a good eye for detail, and a passion for creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor environments. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Review and interpret landscape plans and drawings to determine layouts, materials, and planting specifications. Prepare and cultivate soil, including fertilising and soil conditioning for optimal plant health. Plant and care for trees, shrubs, lawns, groundcovers, and other greenery according to landscape plans. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient and effective water delivery. Build and maintain landscape features such as paths, patios, retaining walls, water features, and garden lighting. Operate and maintain horticultural tools and machinery safely and effectively. Perform routine gardening duties including pruning, mulching, weeding, pest/disease management, and seasonal maintenance. Communicate with clients to understand their landscape needs, provide practical advice, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Adhere to workplace health and safety standards and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines on site. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field. Minimum 1 year experience in a comparable landscape and garden maintenance position. Extensive knowledge of landscape design principles and practical implementation. Skilled in operating landscaping tools and equipment effectively and safely. Genuine passion for plants and gardening, paired with a strong sense of design and visual aesthetics. Exceptional customer service abilities and flexibility to work autonomously or collaboratively. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $75,000 - $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
