See more at our website - http://atsichsbrisbane.org.au Job Description About the Role While working under the guidance of the JNC Environmental Services and Administration Manager, the JNC Grounds Person is responsible for maintaining the grounds to provide a comfortable environment for our residents. They will work autonomously to ensure all JNC facilities and assets are safely functioning and maintained within a best-practice framework. Duties Responsible for the maintenance of the JNC grounds and gardens. Keep the JNC grounds clean and tidy, including collecting and removing rubbish / debris, emptying ground bins for general rubbish and internal recycling bins, the use of a leaf blower and high-pressure water cleaner. Development of new gardens and plantings. Ensure upkeep and maintenance of all ground's equipment. Reporting any major OH&S issues immediately to JNC Environmental Services and Administration Manager. Complete a daily work schedule, including daily check of cleaner's logbook and maintenance communication logs and take appropriate action(s). Actively participate in team building opportunities as directed by JNC Manager, Environmental Services and Administration. Desired Skills and Experience COVID - 19 Requirements Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine is encouraged. Required Certificate III in Horticulture. At least 2-3 years previous experience. Understanding of plants, pest management and chemical handling. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes. Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes. Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills - both in writing and verbal. Working with Disability Services Clearance (Yellow Card) or be eligible to apply. Current Senior First Aid CPR Certificate. Current Driver's Licence (Manual). Preferred Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Previous experience in overseeing and coordinating Aged Care processes and procedures.
