The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred. NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. Role: NOPSEMA is recruiting an experienced Information Officer to join its Information Management Team, based in our Perth Office, initially on a non-ongoing basis for a period of up to 12 months, to undertake the day-to-day and ongoing maintenance of the Authority's Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS). The Information Officer will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure NOPSEMA's information management systems meet business user requirements. The role provides a key point of liaison between regulatory and corporate subject matter experts in NOPSEMA. The key duties of the position include Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Information Governance Officer, the Information Officer is the first line support to all NOPSEMA staff in the principles and operation of the Authority's EDRMS and information management policies and practices. In this role, you will provide advice on issues affecting the EDRMS and information management including liaising with EDRMS software support providers to resolve issues and prepare for system upgrades. You will also assist in maintaining the information management policies, procedures, work instructions, developing training materials and delivering training. You will also participate in projects and business improvement activities at NOPSEMA. What are we looking for? We are seeking an Information Officer with the following attributes: 1. Demonstrated experience in improving the day-to-day operation of information management processes and identifying areas for efficiency gains. 2. Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and ICT specialists to improve the EDRMS integration with business systems and software applications. 3. Knowledge of relevant Information Management (IM) trends and emerging issues in relation to digitisation. 4. Experience in Objective (or other similar systems ie. TRIM) and service portal ticket management. 5. Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership to a professional body in IM is desirable. 6. Applicants with MS365, SharePoint and or AvePoint experience will be looked upon favourably.
