ABOUT THE ORGANISATION We are partnering with ACSI, a leader in sustainable investment, in search for a Board Secretary who reports directly to the CFO/COO. Established in 2001, ACSI exists to provide a strong voice on financially material environmental, social and governance issues. Their members include Australian and international asset owners and institutional investors with more than $1.9 trillion in funds under management. ABOUT THE ROLE ACSI is seeking an experienced Board Secretary committed to maintaining strong corporate governance standards within a small, purpose-led organisation. This position will oversee the coordination and administration of Board and Committee activities in accordance with the Corporations Act and relevant governance frameworks. This is a part-time 0.8 role with high flexibility, allowing the incumbent to work 4 days or 30 hours across 5 days as preferred. This is an excellent position for someone looking to gain exposure to a high-calibre board and the executive team, as well as liaise and network with Australia's leading industry funds. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide high‑quality governance support to the board, committees and advisory council; Coordinate and support board and committee meetings, including agendas, papers and minutes; Maintain effective relationships with Directors, executives and members of industry fund partners; Manage Director and advisory council appointments, onboarding and performance processes; Maintain governance records, registers and the board reporting portal; Support regulatory and compliance obligations, including ASIC, AFSL and Corporations Act requirements; Coordinate member admissions, general meetings and the AGM; Support updates to governance policies and risk management activities; Contribute to audit, reporting and strategic planning processes; AND Assist the executives and board with additional governance and organisational projects as required. KEY REQUIREMENTS: At least 3 years’ experience in governance, board secretarial or company secretarial roles; Experience in financial services or regulated environments, including AFSL exposure, is highly regarded; Tertiary qualification in business, governance, law or a related discipline, with corporate governance studies is desirable; Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, concise and compliant board and committee minutes; Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and sound judgment; Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and take direction when required; Working knowledge of the Corporations Act and relevant regulatory frameworks; Strong capability to build effective relationships with Directors, members and external stakeholders; A genuine interest in corporate governance, sustainability and responsible investment; AND Experience in investments, superannuation or advocacy‑focused organisations is well-regarded.
