The Role We are looking for an experienced payroll manager who will manage a team of two and take care of end-to-end payroll for the organisation. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, processing payroll for over 1000 employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis. The main duties include: Process end-to-end payroll for 1,000 employees across multiple business units or entities Ensure compliance with complex awards, enterprise agreements (EBAs), and employment contracts Manage and mentor a small team of payroll staff (e.g., two direct reports) Maintain accurate payroll records, including starters, leavers, variations, and adjustments Calculate and process leave, allowances, deductions, superannuation, and taxes Prepare, reconcile, and report on payroll journals, accounts, and statutory obligations Respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner Lead and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Support payroll audits, internal controls, and system updates Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure data integrity and smooth payroll operations Your Profile If you are an experienced payroll manager who has worked in a large business, who enjoys working in a positive culture and is a people's focused manager, apply today.
