We are looking for a passionate Medical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team at our Joondalup clinic on a casual basis. You will provide clinical care, education and support the delivery of an exceptional patient experience by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are a multi-skilled oncology team who work between radiation oncology and medical oncology. More specifically, you will: Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met. Interact with patients and undertake education and medication administration. Effectively manage nursing patient load. Facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services and allied health professionals. Ensure all patient listed events are documented, communicated and actioned. Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices and clinical guidelines in line with best practice medical oncology nursing standards. Ensure medication management protocols are followed. Comply with patient handover procedures as per ISBAR communication tool. Support the clinical introduction of new medications / drugs and nursing products by demonstrating knowledge and application in the patient care setting. We’re looking for someone who has: Current AHPRA nursing registration Minimum 1 year of Oncology Experience with ADAC qualifications Experience in CVAD management & IV cannulation Medical oncology and chemotherapy administration experience in a clinical setting Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS Strong commitment to quality patient care Interest in continuing your professional development Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems, as well as MS Office is highly preferred. We are a multi-skilled oncology team who work between radiation oncology and medical oncology so experience in radiation oncology is preferred but not essential as we will provide training as needed for the successful candidate.
