Do you want to be part of a fun team who are building the church? Our Hillsong Kids team is currently seeking a Children’s Coordinator to join the Hills Campus team for a 6‑month period. This role will provide pastoral leadership and oversight for the Ark & Fun House Ministries (ages 4 to Grade 2), supporting the spiritual, emotional, and social development of children in this age group. Other aspects of this role include: Health & Leadership Provide strategic leadership and oversight for children’s programs, teams, and initiatives. Cultivate a culture of spiritual growth, pastoral care, and leadership development. Lead and empower teams to ensure children are engaged, supported, and thriving. Actively engage and collaborate with parents as key partners in leadership, communication, and child development. Increase health and growth in your age groups and Hillsong Kids overall (attendance, team growth). Provide programs in all weekend services that are of an excellent and safe standard, including facility/equipment upkeep. Calls, connection, and reporting regarding Hillsong Kids overall health. Uphold Safe Church standards, ensuring all interactions and programs reflect integrity and care. Demonstrate personal leadership and care. Discipleship & Spiritual Growth Develop and strengthen discipleship pathways for children, including age-appropriate teaching and worship experiences. Foster engagement and connection for children new to faith or new to church. Train and equip leaders to disciple and pastor children effectively. Innovate and expand pathways for children to grow in faith, leadership, and belonging across campus. Administration & Support Oversee child check-in systems and maintain accurate pastoral records. Serve as a primary pastoral contact for all volunteers and families involved in children’s ministry. Promptly report safety concerns in collaboration with Safe Church team and Campus Leadership. Provide pastoral support for volunteers and teams, fostering a culture of wellbeing and care. Facilitate pastoral support for families during life events, including hospital visits, funerals, and home visitations. Weekly provide run-sheets and resources for programs and leaders. Use Hillsong Kids systems/tools effectively to advance ministry, including budgets and resource management. Campus Support Support campus-wide initiatives, events, and leadership development efforts. Contribute to strategic discussions for church-wide leadership and engagement. Provide pastoral leadership beyond children’s ministry assisting with congregation-wide needs as required. Collaborate with campus teams to strengthen unity, culture, and overall church health. Ideally, the successful candidate will bring : Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Theology, Children’s Work, or a related field (strongly preferred). Proven experience in children’s ministry leadership. Demonstrated ability to pastorally care for and disciple children, supporting their spiritual, emotional, and relational development. Experience in leading and equipping volunteer teams, including training, mentoring, and team building. Strong understanding of the spiritual and developmental needs of children aged 0–12. Knowledge of leadership development principles within a ministry or church context.
