About the role As an Apprentice Carpenter in the Site Services team at Kennards Hire's Distribution Centre, you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of carpentry tasks. You'll assist in the preparation, repair and fit-out of modular and portable buildings while learning from skilled tradespeople. This role offers practical on-the-job training, a strong focus on safety, and the opportunity to build your trade skills in a supportive team environment. As your experience grows, you'll progressively take on more responsibility and contribute to delivering high-quality workmanship. This role requires you to; Assist with carpentry tasks including cutting, assembling, repairing and fitting materials Support refurbishment and fit-out of portable and modular buildings Learn to interpret drawings and job instructions with hands-on guidance Help with installation and removal of buildings at customer sites Prepare, clean and store tools and materials correctly Follow directions from qualified carpenters to complete tasks safely and efficiently Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace Attend trade school and complete apprenticeship training Uphold Kennards Hire values and contribute to a positive team environment About you Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance. A valid driver's licence The availability to work weekends on a rotating roster This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods.
