Responsibilities Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for: Assist with the shaft sinking mining project from planning to execution. Identify key mining support activities and discuss any potential issues with Project manager. Review mine designs and stage plans and prepare project plan that support safe, foreseeable production. Assist project managers in the development and implementation of weekly and daily schedules for underground operations. Analyse and inspect mining equipment, resources and methods and research on the possibility of improving the overall performance. Prepare project schedules and project cost estimate. Coordinate with mine production and ensure underground performance meets weekly and daily plans. Plan and coordinate labour, equipment and resources to achieved the desired project milestone. Ensure ground support is installed as per geotechnical specifications. Ensure all mine designs and updates are effectively communicated with all stakeholders. Monitor and record project performance and prepare necessary reports for management. Health and safety conscious Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Qualifications Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in mining, or civil engineering or equivalent with relevant experience. 3-5 years mining industry experience desirable. Experience in site based role on construction projects essential Proficiency in mine planning and design and project scheduling preferred Exposure to drill and blast Proven capability to work in a complex environment. Ability to apply for a current National Police Clearance and pass a pre - employment medical before commencing the position
