The Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express Holdings Limited (Rex), Australia’s largest independent regional airline. Rex is looking for a passionate and skilled Chefs to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards Assist in menu planning and development Monitor food stock and place orders as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen Supervise and train kitchen staff (if applicable) Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Manage food preparation during busy service periods Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Requirements: Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen Culinary qualification or equivalent experience Professional high standard of personal presentation, kitchen hygiene and food handling Current Food Safety Certificate Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to work without supervision and in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong communication and leadership abilities Knowledge and understanding of catering for students from culturally diverse backgrounds Must be able to work shift work - work evenings, weekends, and public holidays To Apply: Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below by close of business, 11 February 2026.
