The Migration Support Program provides help and support to refugees, people seeking asylum, people in immigration detention and other people who are vulnerable as a result of migration.About the role The Lead is responsible for managing case workers to ensure effective and consistent operational delivery of the Supporting Trafficked people Program. This role provides operational leadership, supervision and advice to frontline staff and is the escalation point for complex operational issues, client escalations and policy guidance.This role supports S/T Operations by strengthening operational service delivery across our nationwide model. Working closely with leadership teams, frontline staff, and volunteers, the position helps build capability and understanding of Red Cross policies, client practice, and consistent, evidence‑informed approaches to casework delivery What you will bring Sound discipline knowledge gained through experience in leading case work teams and providing effective supervision and clinical advice Sound skills in providing time critical, trauma informed services to people from diverse cultural and language identities in support of their identified goal Demonstrated capacity to draft and review high level reports and use analytical tools such as Python or PowerBI Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems and exercise initiative and judgment Sound interpersonal skills with the aptitude to gain co-operation from stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate and liaise with government and non-government stakeholders Sound knowledge of legislative, policy and practice requirements relevant to people who have experienced human trafficking or modern slavery harms Relevant Social Work degree with relevant experience or less formal qualifications with specialised skills in Social Work or Social and Community Services (qualifications obtained outside of Australia accepted if certified copy translated to English provided) A Working with Children Check is a mandatory requirement of this role.
