We are reperasenting a global leader in their field of plastics Manufacturing. based in Caringbah, and we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their skilled engineering and maintenance team. This is a hands-on role working on machinery installation projects, preventative maintenance, and fault finding across a modern industrial environment. Our team is heavily involved in assembling, installing, modifying, and commissioning new process equipment . The role is ideally suited to a Mechanical Fitter with strong trade fundamentals, precision fitting skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Key Responsibilities Machinery assembly, installation, and precision alignment Installation and maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment Pipe fitting including water lines, compressed air, and metal pipework Mechanical fault finding involving bearings, shafts, and drive systems Equipment modifications, upgrades, and improvements Preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs Working closely with electricians, contractors, and production teams during shutdowns and installations While some welding is occasionally required, this role is primarily Mechanical Fitter–focused rather than a Welder, Fabricator, or Boilermaker position.
