About the Northern Cancer Service The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking a Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist to join the Northern Cancer Service, an integrated cancer service delivering Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Haematology care across three sites in Northern Tasmania. The primary base for this role is the W.P. Holman Clinic in Launceston, providing both inpatient and outpatient haematology services. The service includes: A clinical trials and research unit conducting Phase II & III trials A rigorous multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting program Strong commitment to education and training, including: Trainee supervision Postgraduate teaching Potential academic involvement with University of Tasmania (UTAS) As a Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist, you will: Provide diagnostic and consultative haematology services to adult inpatients and outpatients Undertake both clinical and laboratory haematology responsibilities Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities From $484,000 per annum (illustrative, based on 9 years’ specialist experience) Base Salary In accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022: Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 – Senior Specialist Level 3 $216,300 – $310,389 per annum Access to the Senior Specialist salary range ($300,216 – $310,389) is subject to meeting the relevant criteria under the Agreement. Allowances & Incentives Fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance: $28,786 p.a. Continuing Professional Development allowance: $16,974 p.a.
