Your opportunity: Our Operations & Maintenance group has a n opportunity for an Operations Specialis t within our Resource Recovery team. The Operations Specialist will provide technical leadership to operations teams supporting business performance within their region and where required support other teams/regions across the Urban Utilities service territory. Supporting the Plant Manager, the role will apply extensive technical knowledge of site operations to drive the optimal performance of the plant/s, troubleshoot problems and support the coordination of project and maintenance activities to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of service. Some of your accountabilities will include: Monitor and review performance against HS&E KPIs, and performance of assets within the RRC area of responsibility; Take action to improve performance and to resolve non-compliance with UU’s HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions. Communicate the local technical action plan; explain how this relates to Resource Recovery’s strategy and action plan and the broader UU mission and vision; motivate team to achieve local business goals. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the safety management system (SMS) for P&G operations within the RRC, including the operation, maintenance, protection and improvement of gas train equipment. Review operational performance and implement innovations and changes that ensure continuous improvements are delivered. About you : We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: 5-10 years’ experience working in Waste Water / Water Treatment Experience supervising teams in a operational setting Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions. Works in partnership with internal stakeholder groups to find mutually beneficial outcomes. Deep knowledge of Resource Recovery operations Ability to work in an on-call agreement as Current Class C driver licence At UU, we celebrate diversity.
