About the role The Head of Payroll oversees the fortnightly payroll of a workforce of around 6,000 team members across both salaried and hourly paid. This role is responsible for the accurate , timely , and compliant processing of employee remuneration across all business units. This role drives operational excellence and the continuous improvement of end-to-end payroll activities, in addition to transformation initiatives within payroll, aligning with organisational goals and shared services strategy. This is a permanent position, based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities. While systems does not report directly into this role, the Head of Payroll will be a critical stakeholder for ensuring payroll requirements are scoped accurately Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with People & Learning, Finance, IT and other enabling functions to deliver seamless employee experience Act as a trusted advisor on payroll matters to senior leadership Model confidence internally and externally when it comes to payroll practices About You Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action Deep technical expertise in payroll and iChris payroll system and the flexibility to be ‘hands on’ as well as a strategic thinker At least 10 years’ experience managing payroll in complex and large organisations Demonstrated experience managing and supporting a team Experience managing multiple enterprise agreements across a large workforce Exceptional attention to detail Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise and easily understood language Experience with Workday, UKG and Kronos - desirable Experience in healthcare, aged care or hospital settings - desirable To Apply If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
