Position Overview Prime Tide Bar & Grill is seeking a qualified and experienced chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The role involves planning, preparing, and cooking high-quality meals in a busy commercial hospitality environment while ensuring consistency, food safety compliance, and excellent presentation standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities Plan menus and prepare, season, and cook food items in accordance with established recipes and standards Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including grill items, seafood, mains, and specials Ensure food quality, portion control, taste, and presentation meet venue standards Supervise kitchen operations during service, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise food wastage Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations (HACCP) Train and support junior kitchen staff as required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas and equipment Work efficiently under pressure, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Requirements AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification OR minimum 3–5 years’ relevant commercial cooking experience At least 2 years’ post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience working as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or high-volume hospitality venue Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills Benefits Why Join Prime Tide Bar & Grill Established hospitality venue with a strong local reputation Supportive and professional kitchen team Opportunity for long-term employment and career development
