Paws for a Cause! Are you a true dog lover and looking for a way to bring joy to others with your furry friend? Join us as a volunteer at HammondCare and help brighten the days of residents with the love of our furry friends! You’ll spend time walking, cuddling, and playing with friendly dogs, sharing laughter, smiles, and wagging tails all around. It’s a heart-warming way to connect, spread happiness, and make both tails and hearts wag! As you're bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents, we ask that your pet is: - Calm and gentle in nature - Up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas - Nails should be short and blunt. Freshly cut nails can be sharp if not filed down. - Dogs should be kept on a lead always. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFDDi9bS6c HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need.
