An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Fibrelines area at our Paper Mill in Maryvale, VIC. The successful applicant must be a self-starter, motivated, have strong problem-solving skills as well as a high regard for health and safety. As well as possessing good communication, organisational and teamwork skills. For this role, the successful candidate will possess: A fitting trade qualification The ability to carry out shift work A proven safety record Be physically fit and able to work in all areas of the mill Other desirable (but not mandatory) criteria include: Relevant licences/ permits such as: car, high risk, elevated work platform, LF forklift, mobile tractor crane licenses Intermediate rigging experience Computer literacy - the ability to understand Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Previous experience working within heavy industry environments Experience with auxiliary equipment Wages and conditions will be in accordance with the Opal Australian Paper Maryvale Mill Mechanical Maintenance & Engineering Store Enterprise Agreement 2024 and will depend on the successful applicant’s skills and qualifications.
