As the Senior Project Officer, you will:- Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, provide advice on and continuously improve strategies and systems, policies and procedures for Joint Management of National Parks (CYPAL).- Assist in the implementation of strategic organisational initiatives utilising established project management methodologies, regional reporting systems and appraise and monitor performance to ensure objectives are achieved.- Prepare, deliver and report on annual work schedules and budgets, policy papers and operational procedures and provide advice to departmental staff and external clients and stakeholders on Indigenous Management Agreement commitments.- Research and analyse information, and prepare correspondence, reports, briefings and submissions regarding the development, progress and delivery of best practice Joint Management of National Parks (CYPAL) in Queensland.- Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders as required, including Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) regions, state and local governments, research organisations, First Nations partners, external partners and relevant community stakeholder groups.- Assist the unit Manager to represent QPWS&P in industry forums, interdepartmental and other committees.- Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.- Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
