Collaborates across stakeholders involved in product, systems or service design and development to enable comprehensive Non-functional test coverage. Identifies improvements in requirements, design or specification processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing. Work across the full stack, building and testing highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth. Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design. Design and implement Non-Functional test assets to ensure desired level of quality and test coverage. Support test planning & approach, using own in-depth technical analysis of non-functional specifications, requirements and solution architecture. Apply best test engineering practice and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects. Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities. What you’ve done: 7 years’ experience as Senior Java Engineer or similar role Demonstrable working experience in test automation frameworks. Experience building and testing Java applications, micro services, data streaming capabilities Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) Sound technical understanding of Performance Engineering, Non-Functional testing and analytics. Strong technical experience in working with testing tools such as JMeter or K6. Demonstrable working experience in setting performance test framework for large-scale web applications, micro services using industry standards and Open-source tools. Exposure to Chaos testing or hands on experience on AWS Fault Injection Service to simulate resiliency testing on AWS managed services. Ability to debug complex performance issues with respect to code or capacity with limited analytics available. Demonstrable working experience and an advocate for Agile methodology, and Agile delivery toolset such as JIRA Hands on experience in cloud technologies (AWS managed services) where application have been successfully validated with regards to non-functional aspects. Demonstrable understanding and/or working knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps Demonstrable working experience in code repository & version control tools such as Gitlab Experience in working in distributed delivery model across multiple geographies and time zone. Excellent debugging and optimization skills Experience in unit/integration and Non-Functional testing Experience on Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka And if you’ve got some of this, even better: Exposure to Risks, audits and regulatory obligations. Experience assessing quality and product risks in a highly regulated environment and providing input into test design and test strategies to address and mitigate risks.
