Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with menu requirements and quality standards Plan menus and accurately estimate food and labour costs Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and efficiency Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff as required Manage stock control, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients Reduce food wastage and maintain effective cost control practices Skills and Experience Required Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Salary and Employment Conditions Competitive salary of AUD $80,000 superannuation, in accordance with Australian workplace laws Employment conditions that are no less favourable than those offered to Australian workers About the Employer The employer is a lawfully operating hospitality business located in a designated regional area of South Australia, offering a stable and long-term employment opportunity.
