About the Venue Situated in the heart of the Blue Mountains, Black Gold Motel offers cosy accommodation with an on-site dining venue serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. About the Role As a Chef, you will take responsibility for preparing high-quality meals while supporting smooth kitchen operations and maintaining excellent food safety standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present menu items to a high standard Ensure consistency in quality, taste and presentation Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes Estimate food and labour costs in consultation with management Order, receive and manage food stock and kitchen supplies Monitor portion control and minimise wastage Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards Ensure compliance with WHS and hygiene regulations Train and support junior kitchen staff Work efficiently during busy service periods Coordinate with front-of-house staff for smooth service What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel or motel environment Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good time management and organisational skills Passion for food and customer satisfaction Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays What We Offer Supportive and friendly working environment Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity to work in a scenic Blue Mountains location Long-term and stable employment opportunity Click “Apply for this job” to register your interest in this fulltime salaried position with a starting salary $76K - $80K (plus super)
