The Opportunity MJD Recruitment are excited to be working with this well-established Gold Coast law firm to find a diligent and experienced Legal Assistant to work closely with the Principal. This is a hands-on role in a boutique-style, people-first practice where everyone pitches in. You’ll be trusted, relied on, and involved across the day-to-day running of the office as well as meaningful legal work. Personality fit matters here just as much as your expertise! The Role This position blends paralegal work with personal assistant and office administration responsibilities. Some of your duties might include tasks such as: Invoicing, receipting and file opening Ongoing file management and client communication Trust accounting compliance and administration End-to-end support across Wills and Estates matters Property work including Titles Office registrations and forms Lease documentation and data entry using precedents Assisting with commercial property purchases and sales General commercial matters supporting business clients Contributing across all office tasks, from detailed legal work to day-to-day upkeep About You You’ll bring prior office experience, ideally from a law firm, though experience in Real Estate or professional services will also be considered. Experience in Wills and Estates will be highly regarded, as will familiarity with Property and Titles Office processes. You'll be a practical and adaptable individual, comfortable being in the office five days a week from 8:30am to 5:00pm. You'll understand small firm life and will be happy to roll up your sleeves, whether that’s handling trust compliance or taking care of the bins. Most importantly, you’ll be reliable, personable, and someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a close working environment.
