Job Title: Kitchen Crew – Moonlight Cinema Job Scope: The primary function of the Kitchen Crew is the preparation, cooking and quality assurance of all food items being delivered from the Moonlight kitchen. The role requires the efficient and on-time delivery of food ensuring standard recipe cards are followed, as well as completion of relevant kitchen documentation (assisting the Kitchen Supervisor where required) and compliance with all OHS requirements. In addition, a Cook is responsible for monitoring the efficacy of kitchen equipment/infrastructure (reporting hazards to the Kitchen Supervisor), working closely with all kitchen staff during service, assisting with stock management and supporting the Kitchen Supervisor where necessary. Critical Tasks of this Role: Assist Kitchen Supervisor/Manager with stock management Proficient production of all food items prepared in the kitchen Regular compliance with food standards and relevant legislation (document completion, temp checks undertaken etc.) WHS procedural compliance Assisting with maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen unit and related kitchen appliances/equipment (reporting all hazards to Kitchen Supervisor) Operate POS Quality Assurance on all food items being distributed (as per recipe cards) Customer service (patrons and suppliers) Regular liaison with site management and Kitchen Supervisor Work harmoniously and productively with other kitchen staff Work to reduce wastage on site Role Accountabilities: Workplace Health and Safety Adhere to all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and policies (including Emergency Management Procedures). Be aware of public health and hygiene standards and ensure F&B outlets meet local health department guidelines. Successful completion of all audits Work to have good knowledge of safety equipment and emergency procedures and facilitate safe work behaviours. Assist in ensuring all equipment is operating effectively, is clean and presentable, and serviced as per outlined requirements Report all hazards and update Kitchen Supervisor on any equipment/system/infrastructure failures as soon as possible. Stock Management Regular review and memorization of food & beverage offering as well as recipe cards and production requirements. Monitor stock levels onsite (items relating to kitchen menu) to assist in ensuring all products are available. Assist with accurately maintaining all documentation relating to stock management including order sheets and stock wastage. Provide any invoices to Kitchen Supervisor in a timely manner. Always act in the best interest of the company with regards to effective and safe stock management. Work to reduce wastage and assist with waste removal. Customer Service Actively assist in serving patrons and respond to patron feedback regarding service when required. Maintain a high focus on delivering quality customer service and strive to exceed this standard and ensure that team members are also focused on patron expectations. Ensure Moonlight Service Standards are always considered by kitchen staff during service. Gather patron feedback and identify patterns, trends and initiate actions to improve patron satisfaction and retention.
