Senior Social Worker (Grade 3) Fixed Term till 30th June 2026 Salary: $101k - $116k Superannuation Salary Packaging & Benefits Location: Ravenhall Correctional Centre, 101–201 Riding Boundary Road, Ravenhall VIC 3023 About the Role We are seeking a Senior Social Worker (Grade 3) to join our team at Ravenhall Correctional Centre. This role provides professional leadership within the social work discipline and delivers high-quality, recovery-focused services to consumers in a forensic mental health setting. As a Senior Social Worker, you will: Lead and mentor social work staff and students. Deliver specialist social work services, including psychosocial assessments, risk and needs planning, and family engagement. Contribute to policy development, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support consumer recovery. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and supervision to social work staff. Deliver evidence-based social work interventions in line with the Forensicare Model of Care. Undertake structured family and risk assessments. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate care and support services. Participate in service development, research, and professional education activities. About You To be successful in this position, you will have sound knowledge of legislation relevant to the target population, a demonstrated ability to provide high-level leadership, management and supervision of staff and students. You will have demonstrated experience in delivering specialist social work services including clinical, primary, secondary and tertiary consultation within a complex and dynamic environment. And proven skills and experience in developing and implementing complex case plans involving direct and indirect social work practice. What you will need: Approved degree in Social Work.
