About the role As the Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with the training and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Controller provides administrative support within the distribution centre workshop, ensuring smooth and efficient workshop operations. This role requires you to; Maintain accurate service records, ensuring job cards, costs, and service history are up to date. Support "Every Customer is a Raving Fan" by ensuring equipment is serviced and maintained to schedule and quality standards. Organise and schedule equipment servicing and repairs to minimise downtime. Order parts and workshop supplies, keeping stock levels adequate and costs allocated correctly. Monitor and manage pending service or repair items in Baseplan. Keep scheduled service arrangements current for machines requiring periodic attention from service agents. Assist Accounts in establishing new suppliers. Ensure efficient flow of equipment through the workshop for maximum availability. Manage dangerous goods and chemical safety information within the branch. Identify and report hazards, near misses, or unsafe acts; support team safety initiatives. Participate in branch safety activities, toolbox talks, and training to uphold safe work culture. Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks efficiently. Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements. About you Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance. Previous experience in a customer service role, and a genuine interest in helping others A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions including the ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes Time management skills including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities An interest in mechanics and construction equipment and a desire to learn Join our team You can always tell someone who works at Kennards Hire.
