The Role: Our client is seeking a proactive link worker based in Canberra to engage with general practices and strengthen the healthcare response to sexual violence and abuse. In this role, the link worker promotes resources to enhance the capacity of the primary healthcare sector to recognise, respond, and refer victim survivors of SV and CSA to medical, legal and other support services in the ACT. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Enhance primary healthcare capacity to recognise, respond to, and refer victim‑survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse. Strengthen integration between primary healthcare and specialist support services. Align primary healthcare services with ACT-wide sexual violence initiatives for a coordinated response. Improve health system navigation for victim‑survivors of SV/CSA. Support improved health outcomes for victim‑survivors. Identify sustainable, long-term improvements for supporting victim‑survivors within primary care. Carry out additional tasks as required. Skills and Experience: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in training design, development and delivery. Experience with collecting, monitoring and inputting data utilising a CRM and/or Microsoft Excel templates. Commitment to trauma-informed and inclusive practice. Understanding of Sexual Violence and/or Child Sexual Abuse Qualifications Required: A qualified Social Worker, Psychologist or Counsellor with experience in a relevant field Hold a current Working With Vulnerable People registration Current Driver’s Licence.
