Account Manager – Insurance Broking My client is hiring an experienced Account Manager within the insurance broking sector to take full ownership of a diverse client portfolio, including SME, mid-market, and some corporate accounts. This role is responsible for driving growth, retention, and optimisation of the portfolio while delivering exceptional service standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver an exceptional standard of customer service across all interactions – phone, email, and face-to-face. Develop a deep understanding of clients’ industries, businesses, and operational requirements. Build and strengthen client relationships, with a strong emphasis on face-to-face engagement. Maintain and enhance relationships with insurers and other key stakeholders. Conduct thorough risk reviews for all clients. Ensure strict compliance with insurance regulatory standards, policies, and guidelines. Educate clients on their insurance products and coverage, providing tailored solutions where necessary. Process new business, renewals, amendments, endorsements, and certificates of currency using multiple broking platforms. Identify and convert growth opportunities within the existing portfolio to meet financial targets. Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular reporting. Develop and execute strategies for new business acquisition within insurance broking. Manage claims in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Maintain debtor profiles in line with company standards. Seek opportunities to improve broking processes for greater efficiency. Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain CPD requirements. Attend industry and networking events to promote my client’s value proposition. Coordinate and manage workload of direct reports, providing mentoring and support. Competencies Advanced knowledge of insurance broking principles, products, services, and claims processes.
