The HammondCare Volunteer Program invites you to bring joy, connection, and companionship to older people living on the Central Coast. Whether you’re into sports, art, gardening, pets, baking, yoga, music, movies, or simply enjoying a chat over coffee—there’s someone who would love to share that moment with you. As a Weekend Volunteer Social Visitor, you’ll spend time one‑on‑one or in small groups, creating genuine connection and heartfelt moments that brighten the day for residents… and often for you too. A small part of your weekend can make a beautifully lasting difference in someone’s life. Please note: Volunteer interviews and Orientation must take place on a weekday during business hours. Requirements 18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare The commitment is one hour per week for a minimum of 6 months. We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time during the week (Monday to Friday). We're looking for some friendly weekend volunteers to provide one-hour visits between 9:30am–12:00pm or 1:00–4:00pm on Saturdays or Sundays. If weekends don’t suit, we’re happy to discuss weekday options too—visits can take place any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm, and can be weekly or fortnightly depending on your availability.
