We deliver recovery-focused programs that support consumers living with serious mental illness or problematic behaviours who are connected to, or at risk of contact with, the justice system, across a variety of settings including community-based services, inpatient units, and secure environments throughout Victoria. Position Objective: The Clinical Coordinator – MAP Outpatients provides leadership and management during each shift, ensuring the effective functioning of the multidisciplinary team. The role is responsible for the timely delivery of high-level mental health assessment and care to individuals with suspected or identified mental health needs in the Outpatients environment at MAP. The Clinical Coordinator triages and coordinates all patient care in Outpatients, ensuring safe, clinically informed decision making. In addition to operational leadership, the Clinical Coordinator provides ongoing support to the Unit Manager by overseeing staff resource allocation, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development across the team. The position delivers advanced clinical advice, supervision, and guidance to staff, fostering high quality forensic mental health practice. The Clinical Coordinator works collaboratively with MAP staff and other key stakeholders to maintain consistent, evidence-based care within a complex custodial environment.
