Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Electrician to join our Paget-based team. This is a local, workshop-based role offering a 4-day compressed working week , providing genuine work–life balance while working on high-quality underground mining equipment. About the Role: Based in our Paget workshop, you will be responsible for the electrical assembly, maintenance, testing and fault-finding of longwall and underground mining equipment. Key responsibilities include: Electrical assembly and fit-out of longwall and mining equipment Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs Testing, commissioning and quality assurance of equipment Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics Ensuring all work complies with WHS and quality standards Working collaboratively with mechanical trades and supervisors About You Current QLD Electrical Licence Experience in a workshop or heavy industrial environment Underground coal or mining equipment experience (highly regarded but not essential) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings Strong safety focus and attention to detail Reliable, team-oriented and proactive approach What NEPEAN Offers 4-day compressed working week Competitive hourly rate plus penalties Secure, full-time employment Modern workshop facilities in Paget Career development within a growing national business Local role – no FIFO Location This role is based in Paget, Mackay .
