Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience and hold a Certificate IV relevant to AQF. Duties and responsibilities include: Prepare and cook different type of Curries with authentic Indian taste. Prepare food according to the menu and make sure every item is available. Prepare and cook the food with special dietary requirements. Manage food costs and portion control to maximize profitability while maintaining quality. Plan menus and food preparation issues with Director/Restaurant Manager. To efficiently manage stock, conduct stock takes and put FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation. Follow Correct portion size. Train and supervisor apprentices, trainees and other kitchen staff. Liaise with Restaurant Managers on Functions or Special requirements. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food storage to minimize waste. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff and advice on cooking procedures. Garnishing and presentation of food. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and cleanliness standards in the kitchen Ensure compliance with WHS (Work Health and Safety) policies.
