You will be responsible for managing these outlets as successful independent profit centres, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with Hyatt International standards. The Director of Rooms must have strong communication and analytical skills, coupled with a passion for creating positively memorable experiences for a diverse range of clientele. This role will continue to maintain and implement Park Hyatt brand standards and adjust as needed in our local market. The Rooms Division encompasses Front Office, Front Service, Concierge (Bell), Communication Centre, Clubhouse Fitness Centre, Housekeeping and Laundry. Some of the responsibilities include: Lead, influence and inspire the Rooms Division team to deliver unscripted, innovative service while connecting with guests through empathy and care with consideration to the 'local flavour' of Canberra Ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction are maintained through effective leadership Work closely with the Front Office team to meet and exceed our guest's expectations demonstrating results through applicable guest feedback To drive revenues and monitor all costs and recommending and implementing measures to control in accordance with annual budgets for each department. To assist Human Resources in implementing effective training programs for divisional employees, maximising skills, knowledge and productivity whilst implementing effective succession planning Ensuring all associates deliver the brand promise, through providing exceptional guest service Qualifications: Qualifications Current Director of Rooms, or experienced Front Office Manager within luxury hotel, ready for the next career step Outstanding guest services skills, sophisticated verbal & written communication skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational and administrative skills High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English Proficient in Microsoft Office Degree in Hospitality/Tourism well regarded A career with Hyatt opens a world of opportunities.
