Operating from a large-scale facility in Kingsgrove, Sydney, we supply nationwide through major supermarkets, food service providers, and our own bakery café. Our business focuses on traditional pastry-making methods while meeting high-volume commercial demand. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-Time Maintenance Planner to join our team and ensure all equipment operates efficiently to support uninterrupted production of our renowned products. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all bakery production equipment, including ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, filling machines, and refrigeration units. Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise production downtime while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Monitor and analyse equipment performance, identifying potential faults, trends, and opportunities for efficiency improvements. Prepare detailed work orders, risk assessments, and maintenance documentation in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Liaise with production, quality, and technical teams to ensure maintenance activities support smooth, safe, and high-quality pastry production. Schedule, coordinate, and oversee external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance and repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment performance for reporting and audits. Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Recommend and assist with upgrades, process improvements, and equipment replacements to enhance production efficiency and reliability. Ensure all maintenance work complies with Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and Garlo's Pies' operational standards. Qualifications and Requirements Relevant qualification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance . Minimum of 1 years' experience in maintenance planning or industrial maintenance role, ideally in food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance systems . Excellent organisational and planning skills . Strong communication skills to liaise with multiple teams. Proactive problem-solving attitude with a commitment to safety and quality. Salary The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $100,000 - $110,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
