Connect Resources are currently looking for Civil Trade Assistants (Forklift ticket beneficial) for an immediate start on a major civil project. The job is located in the Joyner/Lawnton area. The work involves work on a Dam reconstruction, so experience in this are would be ideal. It will involve working around drilling and anchoring crews. There will be consistency in the job as there is 12 months work in this project. Job role: Assist drillers with setup and operation of drilling equipment and work platforms. Handle and prepare drilling tools, rods, bits, casings, and anchor components. Support drilling operations by adding/removing rods and managing flushing lines. Assist with cleaning drilled holes using air or water. Prepare anchor tendons, centralisers, spacers, and corrosion protection materials. Assist with installation of rock anchors and cables as directed. Support grouting activities, including mixing grout, handling hoses, and cleaning equipment. Assist during anchor stressing/tensioning operations by handling jacks, hoses, and gauges. Use hand and power tools safely and correctly. Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling on site. Essential: Previous experience working for civil crews, specifically drilling and anchoring. A current drivers licence.
