We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Structural Modeler (Revit) with at least 3 years of experience working on structural steel, prefabrication, or modular construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical proficiency in Revit, hands-on experience with structural steel modelling and detailing, and familiarity with Australian construction terminology and practices. Job Responsibilities: Generate and edit structural steel elements in Revit, including main members, bracing, purlins, handrails, mesh grating, temporary works, equipment skids, and connection details. Produce plan, section, isometric, and detailed drawings for prefabricated and modular steel components. Create concept and tender models from engineering sketches and design instructions. Prepare preliminary drawings for pricing, supplier engagement, and tender proposals. Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and revision updates. Develop and manage Revit families specific to prefabrication and modular construction. Execute quantity take-offs and scheduling from Revit models for steel, grating, purlins, and handrails. Perform clash detection and participate in design coordination reviews. Highlight buildability issues and collaborate with site teams during pre-assembly and installation. Coordinate regularly with Design Manager and BIM Coordinators to meet deadlines, deliverables, and project budgets. Ensure models are synchronized with BIM coordination cycles and maintain accurate project documentation. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Revit modelling and drafting, specifically in structural steel projects. Qualifications in Mechanical or Structural Engineering and/or Drafting. Strong knowledge of prefabrication/modular construction workflows. Familiarity with Australian construction industry terminology and standards. Experience using Tekla Structures or Autodesk Inventor is an advantage. Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, English communication skills, and ability to deliver high-quality outputs within required timeframes.
