Full-time Continuous Contract 37.5 hours per week $120,451 - $129,343 per annum Total Effective Package $148,139 - $158,234 About the role The Child Health Nurse Team Leader works with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based child health services to well children including child health checks and other assessments, immunisations, developmental screening and relevant and appropriate treatment to give babies and children the best start in life. Works to provide clinical oversight and leadership for the Child Health Nurse Team in the Child Health Centre. Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and other service providers. Who are we looking for? Someone to complement our dynamic team with the following essential requirements Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with extensive clinical practice Post graduate qualifications in child health Significant experience in child health in a primary healthcare setting Expert knowledge of the NT Vaccination schedule in relation to childhood immunisations and accredited to provide vaccinations or willing to undertake accreditation within six months Experience in utilising standard treatment manuals in a primary health care setting Act as a clinical and educational resource to give expert advice and support to other Child Health Nurses, other Congress clinical practitioners and students when required Demonstrated ability to form relationships and work effectively with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander clients, families and co- workers. This includes a demonstrated awareness of, and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history, Aboriginal primary health care and current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people and communities. Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills and experience in facilitating and engaging in health promotion activities with children, their families and staff.
