About the Role We are Seeking a Senior System Accountant to play a pivotal role in strengthening the way our finance systems, data and processes support decision-making and long-term sustainability. The role oversees accounting software, financial ledgers, reporting, system configuration, controls, and user access, working closely with Finance, Procure-to-Pay, and HRP teams to support integrated and streamlined financial processes. As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we have recently implemented TechnologyOne to modernise our finance, procurement, and HR systems, streamline end-to-end processes, and enable more informed, data-driven decision-making across the organisation. What will you do? Own and optimise LHG's core finance platform (Technology One), ensuring systems operate at peak performance with strong data integrity and controls. Configure and maintain system workflows, user access, and permissions to support efficient and well-controlled financial processes. Develop and maintain system-based financial reports, ensuring data integrity, accurate ledgers, and reliable reconciliations. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and enhanced system functionality. Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, tax requirements, and organisational policies, maintaining robust system controls. Partner with Finance, Procure-to-Pay, and HRP teams to support integrated workflows, user training, vendor engagement, and audit requirements. More About you You have Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (CA/CPA highly regarded). You have at least 3 years of experience with finance systems, ERP platforms, and process optimisation, with proven expertise in TechnologyOne or a similar accounting software. You have Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory compliance. You've led or played a key role in finance technology transformations, system implementations or large-scale upgrades. You're solutions-focused, curious and motivated by continuous improvement and innovation. Growth & progression This is a newly created role with strong growth potential. As the organisation scales and its finance foundations mature, the role offers scope to expand into broader responsibilities, including deeper management reporting, finance transformation projects, and potential team build-out, aligned to performance.
