Positions Available Carpenter Painter Carpenter Responsibilities Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials. Cut, shape, and fit timber parts to form structures and fittings. Build frameworks, roofs, floors, and other structural components. Study drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures. Select and order timbers and other materials. Check accuracy of work by measuring, levelling, and aligning structures. Renovate and repair existing wooden structures to meet safety and quality standards. Painter Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure smooth finishes. Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other protective or decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match colours and finishes according to client specifications or design requirements. Maintain and repair existing paintwork, including touch‑ups and repainting as necessary. Remove old paint or coatings where required. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, including safe handling of hazardous materials. Advise clients on colour schemes, paint types, and finishes when necessary.
