POSITION TITLE: MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN Business Name: Absolute Car Restoration and Parts Pty Ltd Employment Type: Full-time Location: NT 0828 Salary: $78,000 to $83,000 per annum Main Duties: Conduct tests of mechanical systems, collects and analysis data, and assembles and installs mechanical assemblies in support of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists. Assemble, install and modify mechanical components, equipment and hydraulic systems Carry out routine and preventative maintenance following engineering instructions Test mechanical systems and equipment and record test results Collect technical data and assist with calculations, diagrams and reports Prepare drawings and basic designs under guidance of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists Support engineers in the development of mechanical equipment and plant Detect equipment faults and help identify repair solutions Assist with inspection, servicing and upkeep of machines and plant Estimate materials, quantities and equipment required for jobs Assist with workshop, field and laboratory testing activities Ensure completed work meets technical standards, safety rules and regulations Provide technical assistance to staff, engineers, management and suppliers Maintain accurate maintenance and ordering records using the MEX system Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, safe and well organised Experience Requirements: Exceptional teamwork, customer service and time management Ability to function under pressure and manage staff Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering principles and maintenance, with relevant tertiary education and/or experience; Strong communication skills, ability to write reports and correspondence, ability to speak clearly and effectively with internal and external contacts; Strong emphasis on accuracy to ensure a consistently high quality of work;
