The Role We are seeking two experienced Quality Assurance Officers to support and drive the Patties Quality Strategy at our Bairnsdale site. These are morning shift roles operating from 11:00pm to 7:00am . One position is rostered Monday to Friday , while the second role operates Tuesday to Saturday Reporting to the Food Safety & Quality Manager, and working closely with the site operations team, the key purpose of these roles is to support and continuously improve our quality assurance and food safety programs to ensure our processes consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. These roles provide a unique opportunity to work hands-on with our products, including sensory evaluation of our famous meat pies (beef, chicken, lamb, and pork) to ensure that taste, texture, and overall product quality meet the highest standards. Liaising directly with Production and Quality management, your duties will include but are not limited to: Educating and engaging production staff on GMP requirements and quality standards around production lines. Conducting daily checks and line-walks on production lines to ensure CCPs, QCPs, and X-Ray checks are consistently met. Performing GMP audits and internal audits to verify quality and production processes. Assisting the Quality Manager with internal and external audits. Maintaining site document control and procedures to ensure operational compliance with established practices and standards. Providing food safety and quality training to production staff. Continuously verifying staff training levels in food production and ensuring personnel responsible for food safety have the appropriate skills and practical knowledge. Conducting sensory evaluations of products, including our range of meat pies (beef, chicken, lamb, and pork), to assess flavour, texture, and overall quality, and providing feedback for continuous product improvement. Investigating non-conformances and performing root-cause analysis. Advising production and management on quality performance and systems improvements. The Person To be successful in this role, you will be highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in quality compliance and manufacturing environment is desirable. You will also demonstrate the following: Previous experience in the same role or one of a similar nature. Initiative and energy to deliver within deadlines. A strong passion for quality and your ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment will ensure your success. You will demonstrate high attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills to achieve the desired outcomes. Have the confidence and skills to drive the quality culture and support the operations team through processes will be highly regarded.
