Site Manager / Senior Site Manager – Commercial Fit-Out Projects About the Company Leading national commercial fit-out and refurbishment contractor delivering technically challenging multi-level projects across Sydney metro for you to work on. Known for their strong culture, commitment to quality, and repeat client relationships, they specialise in projects ranging from $8M–$40M. These include fit outs and heavy refurbishments involving complex elements such as structural work, interconnecting stairs, multi-floor fit-outs for landlords and tenants, and local government projects. This is a highly visible role where the Site Manager acts as the on-site leader, representing the company to clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. The Role We are seeking an experienced Site Manager/Senior Site Manager to take full accountability for the day-to-day management and delivery of high-profile commercial fit-out projects. This is a site-based role where you will supervise all personnel, manage safety and quality, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also lead and mentor other site staff including Site Foremen, Site Coordinators, and labour resources, and will often be responsible for projects with the highest levels of complexity and risk. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all onsite personnel and subcontractors across multiple trades Lead and mentor site-based staff, setting standards for performance, safety, and delivery Manage site inductions, SWMS, and daily operational administration Oversee daily site diaries, updates, and reporting Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Contract Administrators, and other project stakeholders Monitor project schedules and ensure alignment with programme objectives Represent the company in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings Manage site logistics, deliveries, and resource allocation efficiently Quality & Compliance Ensure high-quality execution across all trades and project components Implement inspection and test plans (ITPs) and track compliance Conduct weekly project reporting and update project documentation in Procore Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and methodology reviews Review and manage project HSEQ plans and site checklists Health, Safety & Environmental Management Champion safety-first practices and actively enforce HSEQ standards Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and environmental risks Implement noise, dust, and waste management controls, including EOM reporting Ensure stakeholder impact (neighbours, public spaces, other tenants) is managed. About You You are a hands-on, experienced Site Manager with a strong background in commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects. You thrive in high-pressure environments, are highly organised, and have excellent communication skills. Key requirements include: Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in a Lead Site Manager role on commercial fit out or heavy refurbishment projects in a live environment Experience with multi-level buildings and complex project elements Strong leadership skills, able to mentor and supervise a site team effectively Solid understanding of HSEQ principles with a hands-on approach to enforcement Highly proficient in reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and programmes Experience leading subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams to deliver results Commercial awareness and ability to manage delivery to budget and schedule Proficiency in Procore required; experience with MS Project and Office suite highly desirable Trade background highly regarded Relevant tickets including First Aid, White Card, and Asbestos Awareness (training can be provided) Why Apply?
