The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Workers to join our team, based in the Cessnock/Kurri Kurri region, NSW. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to help individuals live independently, build skills, and actively participate in their community. This is a casual role with a pathway to part-time employment. Key Responsibilities Support customers with community access and participation in social, recreational, and vocational activities. Provide personal care, daily living assistance, and health care support with dignity and respect. Assist with household management and skill-building to enhance independence. Build strong, professional relationships with customers, their families, and key stakeholders. Maintain accurate and timely digital records using our client management systems. About you Passionate about empowering people with disabilities and a natural community connector. Reliable, patient, and committed to genuine person-centred care. An excellent communicator who can build rapport easily. Able to work autonomously in the community and collaboratively as part of a team. A proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude. Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records. Essential Requirements A valid Australian Driver’s Licence (P2 minimum) and comprehensive car insurance. Reliable smartphone. Willingness to obtain before commencement: NDIS Worker Screening Check & Paid Working with Children Check. Current First Aid Certificate. Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module. Demonstrated ability to use IT systems for communication and record-keeping. Preferred Requirements Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (preferred) or relevant tertiary qualifications and experience. Why Join ConnectAbility?
