The Asset Management team is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all physical assets across the entire airport site – airside, landside and terminal. Reporting into the Airport Maintenance Manager, this hands-on position is responsible for first response duties, overseeing, coordinating and prioritising all maintenance activities including electrical and mechanical across the airport during an assigned shift. The role involves supervising maintenance contractors, responding to urgent repairs to minimise disruptions to operations, and ensuring compliance and assurance with safety and airport regulations. Supervision and oversight of the service providers, systems and assets include: Aeronautical Ground Lighting, Baggage Handling System, Vertical Transport, Fire Life Safety, low voltage electrical, mechanical (HVAC), hydraulics, together with all other general maintenance such as cleaning, waste and landscaping. This position will initially be performed within regular business hours to support the development of processes and procedures. It will then transition to shift work to support WSI’s operational trials and testing of process and procedures, prior to the airport commencing live operations when the role will require permanent shift work. Key responsibilities: Provide first response activities across the airport including triage, isolations, coordination and management of emergency situations. Supervise the day-to-day maintenance activities and minor works across the airport during their assigned shift as performed by the maintenance service providers to ensure the efficient, effective and safe delivery and operation of all systems and assets. Troubleshoot by inspecting, identifying faults, diagnosing issues, and reporting faults for follow up by relevant service providers via the Asset Management System (AMS) Liaise and work with service providers and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of the airport. Ensure safety requirements and documentation are adhered to by contractors including safety inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures, Airport Works Plans, and other relevant documents as required by WSI. Oversee and coordinate isolations and shutdown requests and process, as well as all other sub-permit requests. Work with the various systems, primarily the monitoring of the Building Management System (BMS) and the Asset Management system responding to related issues on-site. Experience and qualifications in electrical (Low Voltage / High Voltage), and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning), mechanical experience in the Building Maintenance / Facilities Management industry. Ideally you will have experience from the airport industry and / or complex industrial environments. Working knowledge and understanding in: - Fire Life Safety systems - HVAC, mechanical, vertical transport - General Building Maintenance and Hydraulic systems. - Fault finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems - Civil maintenance and TfNSW specifications Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and/or other required security clearances. Well organised, experienced in Asset Management Systems (Hexagon preferred), reporting, MS Office, and Outlook. Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
