Synergie Australia is seeking a Project Assistant or Entry Level Business Analyst BCM Risk (Technology) for a trusted financial institution located in Sydney CBD. The important parts: Pay: $60–$80 per hour Super Duration: 12-month contract (Initially) Hours: Monday–Friday | Approximately 38 hrs per week What you will be required to do: Support the project plan and ensure milestones and deliverables are met. Coordinate requirement-gathering workshops with stakeholders (control/process owners, system/platform owners, assurance teams, architects). Gather data requirements for source systems and ServiceNow to enable automation. Participate in solution design reviews and assist with approvals for control activity automation. Obtain sign-off on business requirements and design documentation; hand off to implementation teams (ISG, Palantir, ServiceNow). Provide project management support across all phases, including status updates. Assist with project documentation in line with Delivery Excellence standards. Work closely with delivery channels (ISG, ServiceNow, Palantir) throughout engagement. Coordinate stakeholder data collection via meetings, emails, and maintain records (e.g., minutes). Submit activities through Front Door channels and track progress to deployment. Contribute to weekly/monthly status reports and maintain the project dashboard. Ensure high-quality customer service and foster a collaborative “one team” mindset. To be successful in the role you will: At least five years of experience within the banking industry, preferably in Technology Risk and Controls Experience in Project Management (e.g. Stream Lead, Co-Ordinator, Administration) and/or as Business Analyst Demonstrated ability to manage and build effective working relationships Qualifications in Project Management, Technology Risk or IT or an equivalent industry-recognized certification (desirable) Additional studies in banking or finance (desirable) What’s on offer for you: You will work with an experienced team who will support your enthusiasm to learn and drive into strategic automation, risk reporting, transparency, and smarter compliance.
