ABOUT THE FARM Uranbah Estate is a 4,800 hectare mixed enterprise , with approximately 2,600 hectares under crop and the balance supporting a strong sheep operation. The business focuses on high yield, high quality outcomes across both enterprises and takes pride in well run systems and attention to detail. Cropping program includes • Canola, wheat and barley Livestock enterprise • Approximately 5,000 sheep • 4 sets of steel yards • 3 shearing sheds • Around 33 percent of non cropping land sown to pasture Machinery and equipment includes • John Deere 9510R 4WD tractor • Ausplow DBS seeder with Simplicity aircart • Case Magnum tractor • Sonic 8000L boom spray • New Holland 9.90 header • Case 2388 header • Kenworth truck with Base Fab tippers Technology used • John Deere and Trimble GPS • Pro Trakker guidance systems ABOUT THE ROLE This is a full time general farm hand position supporting all aspects of the cropping and sheep enterprises. You will work closely with the owners, seasonal staff and contractors, while also being trusted to work independently when required. Duties include Machinery operation during seeding, spreading and harvest Truck driving during harvest and busy periods Spraying operations if experienced and capable General machinery maintenance and servicing Workshop jobs and repairs Assisting with sheep work as required WHAT YOU’LL NEED ✔ Ideally 2 years minimum broadacre or mixed farming experience ✔ Capable operators with strong references will be considered ✔ C class licence required ✔ HR or MC licence preferred with opportunity to upskill to MC ✔ Chemcert or similar preferred ✔ Good communication skills and attention to detail ✔ Ability to work well in a team and independently ✔ Reliable, safety focused and professional approach to work HOURS LIFESTYLE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Around 45 hours per week plus overtime during peak seasonal periods ⚠️ Strong focus on fatigue management and workplace safety Busy seasonal periods balanced with quieter times and flexibility for time off This is a family friendly workplace that values work life balance and long term staff wellbeing.
