About the role Join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in delivering a smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll experience for our employees. As our Payroll Officer , you’ll support the day-to-day payroll operations, maintain employee records with precision, and provide timely responses to payroll queries across the organisation. You’ll prepare reports, analyse payroll data, and provide clear advice to support leaders in making informed decisions. Key responsibilities include: Manage end-to-end payroll processing accurately and on time. Maintain payroll records in line with accounting standards, legislation, and company policies. Respond promptly to payroll queries from employees, leaders, and external stakeholders. Partner with business leaders to provide practical payroll advice and support informed decisions. Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy. Prepare regular and ad hoc payroll reports as required. Undertake general payroll administration, including filing, checking, and uploading accounts and invoices. Plan, organise, and manage your workload effectively to meet quality, quantity, and timeliness expectations. Exercise sound judgement to resolve routine payroll issues, seeking guidance as needed. Ensure confidentiality of all payroll and employee information in line with privacy policies. About you We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with: Essential Criteria: Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience. Intermediate Excel skills. Strong interpersonal skills to manage payroll queries with professionalism. Ability to work to strict timelines while maintaining high standards. Comprehensive understanding of compliance and statutory payroll obligations. Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of payroll requirements within a PBI. Experience using the Dayforce payroll system highly regarded.
