The Role Are you seeking a diverse role encompassing various responsibilities within a well-established enterprise? If so, the position of Skilled Senior Station Hand may be the perfect fit for you. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of the Merino flock and cattle herd, both of which have sire production programs aimed at producing high-quality, self-replacing rams and bulls each year. You will also be an integral part of the cropping program. We are looking for an individual with excellent stockmanship skills and quality working dogs to assist with the management of 13,000 Merino ewes. The progeny of these ewes are utilised for prime lamb and wool production. Modern facilities and sheep-handling equipment make sheep work easier. Additionally, managing 1,000 head of Shorthorn and Angus cross cows, whose offspring are grown for feeder markets. This exciting role offers an excellent balance between livestock and cropping. You will be involved in the cropping aspect of the property, which includes 1,400 hectares of wheat and canola used for grain production and stock grazing. All staff members are also responsible for maintaining and repairing farm infrastructure and machinery, so mechanical aptitude, fabrication skills, and fencing experience are essential.
